MCA Professional was established in 2022 by Eleanor Tallon, who qualified as a Social Worker in 2008 with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Social Work from the University of Huddersfield. She also gained post graduate certificates at Masters level (Mental Capacity and Disorder; Best Interest Assessor) in 2015.
Eleanor is registered with Social Work England and has over 16 years of professional experience in various settings, including 9 years as a Best Interest Assessor applying the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and developing a practical knowledge of Re- X procedures and welfare applications made under section 16 (MCA 2005).

Eleanor is diligent to the five principles of the MCA 2005 and her solid understanding of the legal frameworks, statutory guidance and case law informs evidence-based practice. Eleanor is adept at assessing the needs, mental capacity and best interests of people with cognitive impairments and promoting their rights under the auspices of the Court of Protection.
At all times, Eleanor takes a person- centred approach to her work, and provides holistic, comprehensive, and legally literate assessments to a high standard. She is also experienced in delivering training, seminars and consultation to a variety of professionals within local authorities and in the private sector.
